At level 5 you choose one of your class's two paths; the skills in your fight order are used by themselves.

# You get a skill point each level; from point 17 on a skill may become M1, at the latest at point 20.
# From M1 to G1 you read the skill's own book: each read costs 20,000 EXP, and Mn needs n successful reads to go up.
# From G1 to P you use {{Tip|Soul Stone}}: each successful read is one level and costs rank points.
# After each read that skill waits a while. {{Tip|Concentrated Reading}} makes the next book read succeed for sure, {{Tip|Exorcism Scroll (kotu_ruh_kovma_kagidi)}} clears the wait.
# A dropped {{Tip|Skill Book}} becomes the book of a random skill; {{Tip|Ha-Ri}} trades 10 books and Jeon for a book of your own path.
# Your fight order holds up to 4 skills; some Shaman buffs, like {{Tip|Might Boon}}, also reach the party at half strength.
# {{Tip|Old Woman}} resets your skills and path for Jeon while you are level 30 or lower.
